Last July 21, 2017 (Friday), the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) successfully conducted their Rural Impact Sourcing Workshop in the Municipality of Allen in the Province of Northern Samar. This advocacy-based workshop is in collaborative partnership with the Municipal Government Unit of Allen, under the leadership of Honorable Mayor Laureana D. Suan.
The workshop is a one-day activity aimed at creating meaningful ICT-enabled jobs in socio-economically disadvantaged areas in the country. Advocacy and training activities are conducted through this workshop, in partnership with major freelancing service platforms in the Philippines to encourage these untapped talents to become online professionals.
